Glen Depke, N.D.
Glen, a traditional naturopath, is board certified by the American Alternative Medical Association as an alternative health practitioner. Glen's N.D. degree in Naturopathy is from the Clayton College of Natural Health in Birmingham, Alabama.
He focuses on building health and preventing disease by assessing gluten intolerances, using Nutritional Typing, a plan for eating consciously, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and iridology. He is, in fact, the chief nutritionist at our clinic.
Gluten intolerances may be more common than you think, and can hinder your body's ability to absorb and assimilate proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals. Plus, inflammation cased by gluten intolerance can suppress your immune system and create havoc in your hormonal system.
Nutritional Typing is a tool that assesses your best individual nutritional starting point. It allows your body its best chance of balance as you reach for your health goals. Remember the incredible quote by Hippocrates, “One man's food is another man's poison.” Let Glen help you discover what foods are best for you with Nutritional Typing.
Glen can also teach you to eat consciously -- and to determine whether your cravings are truly nutritional or the all-too-common emotional ones. This way, you'll recognize nutritional shifts and changes throughout the rest of your life.
Glen has extensive training in metabolic typing through Healthexcel, and is certified to make nutritional recommendations based on your genetic needs.
EFT is a simple yet effective technique that allows your body to shift into a balanced energy state. Up to 95% of health challenges may be rooted in negative, buried (invisible) emotions, so realizing and releasing those emotions is critical to your goal of optimal health.
EFT is similar to acupuncture -- but without the needles. It can help you with weight loss issues, optimism, and much more. Glen studied both basic and advanced levels of EFT under Dr. Mercola.
Iridology is the study of the iris to identify potential future health problems. Glen has studied iridology extensively, achieving the distinction of professional holistic iridologist.
Glen knows each of these specialties well, and can provide you with a holistic, preventative approach to medicine -- as he's done for the past six years here at our clinic.
Glen is also President of the Natural Health Practitioners Association (NHPA), where he keeps up with the latest techniques to help guide you to better health.
